Scheduling a Disney Cruise Line vacation using Disney Vacation Club points is an option available to most members.  However, some members are opposed to the idea of using points to cruise.  The values for cruising on points are not as advantageous as using them for DVC resort stays.  Point usage can be rather stringent in the event of a cancellation or re-scheduling.  Often times it is more economical to rent out the DVC points and simply pay cash for the cruise.  Nevertheless, some simply prefer the ease of booking with points.

Last week we asked about elements of the Disney theme park or resort experience which are lacking.  This time, share some of the things that go right during a Disney stay.  Perhaps it's the quality of entertainment, facilities, staff, restaurants...some element(s) keep guests--particularly Disney Vacation Club members--coming back year-after-year. 

Topic:  What are the greatest achievements of the Disney theme parks and resorts?

Whether one is a first time visitor to the Disney theme parks or veteran of dozens of trips, some element of the experience undoubtedly came as a disappointment.  Could be something as simple as a price that is too high, a portion that is too small or a favorite attraction in need of some TLC.

Topic:  What is the single most disappointing aspect of the Disney theme parks and resorts?

The typical Walt Disney World vacation involves many forms of transportation but all guests certainly have their favorite.  Transportation options may even help influence one's choice of resort for a given stay.  Perhaps it is that boat trip to and from Hollywood Studios which makes the BoardWalk and Beach Club preferred destinations.  It could be a walk from Saratoga Springs to Downtown Disney or monorail access at the Bay Lake Tower.

Topic:  What is your favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World?

Many timeshare systems impose a minimum stay upon their members.  The rationale is typically reduced cost--minimum stays result in fewer total reservations which equates to fewer bookings, fewer check-ins, fewer housekeeping visits, etc. 

Although Disney Vacation Club does not currently impose a minimum stay, the Public Offering Statement does give them the right to institute a minimum in the future.
