As was reported in the 2009 annual meeting notice and at the meeting itself, Disney Vacation Club will be converting The Paddock pool at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa from a leisure pool to a feature pool. During his presentation at the 2009 Condo Association meeting, Jim Lewis provided the following information regarding the pool project:
- The pool will be 3,300 sq ft--roughly triple the size of the current quiet pool on this site (about 3/4 the size of the High Rock Spring feature pool)
- It will include a 146-ft water slide
- There will be a 1,200 sq ft water play area for children
- Lifeguards will be on duty
- A Quick Service dining location will also be added (burgers & fries)
- Construction cost is approximately $.41 per point to be paid from reserve fund
