Affection for Disney Vacation Club's long-gone online board game doesn't quite match that of Virtual Magic Kingdom, but it remains as one of the most clever DVC tie-ins ever.

In the fall of 2012, Disney Vacation Club introduced a contest dubbed "Getaway Your Way." Contest entries were earned by playing a virtual game, moving playing pieces around a board littered with DVC icons and landmarks.
At the contest's conclusion, the web site hosting the game was shut down. Months later, several short video clips appeared on streaming site Vimeo, allowing members to revisit the game.
Now, a more detailed look at the game's creation has appeared on YouTube. The video runs nearly an hour in length, showcasing the entire design process of the web app. Click below to access the video.
