The Honolulu Advertiser has a story on Hilton's planned expansion of timeshare business in Hawai'i. Two new towers totaling 550 units will be added to the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Hilton sites the growth of timeshare business in Hawai'i as the driving force behind the expansion.
Hilton has already exceeded $1 billion in timeshare sales in its Grand Waikikian Tower facility.
This week saw the opening of the Hilton / Waldorf Astoria resort complex within the Bonnet Creek development. Bonnet Creek is immediately adjacent to Walt Disney World (near Caribbean Beach Resort) and is also home to non-Disney timeshare units operated by Wyndham.
