Merry Member Mixer Comes to an End

Member Benefits and Perks

One of Disney Vacation Club's longest running member events will not return in 2017.

Merry Member Mixer

Dating back to at least 2004, Disney Vacation Club has hosted an annual holiday gathering dubbed the Merry Member Mixer.  With the introduction of two exclusive "Moonlight Magic" evenings at Epcot this December, DVC has announced that the Merry Member Mixer has been discontinued.

Originally located oustside Epcot's International Gateway and later within the confines of the theme park, the gathering provided an opportunity for owners to gather and celebrate their shared Disney connection.  Typically held weekly between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Mixers offered complimentary light entertainment and refreshments, along with character meet-and-greet opportunities, exclusive merchandise and the popular giveaway Christmas ornaments.

Although admission to the Mixer was free to members, entrance to the Epcot theme park was not included.  In a post to the Disney Parks Blog, DVC's Ryan March stated that with the Moonlight Magic replacement offering, DVC hopes to "broaden the experience, accommodate more Members and remove the requirement of paid theme park admission."

The two Moonlight Magic evenings at Epcot are scheduled for December 4 & 11, 2017.  These evenings are expected to include exclusive access to theme park attractions, refreshments and entertainment at no cost to DVC members.  Registration details will be released closer to the event.
