Adventures by Disney offers new member exclusives

Disney Vacation Club and Adventures by Disney have again partnered to bring several unique travel adventures to DVC members.  Trips include special keepsakes produced exclusively for participating DVC members and a meal with new Vacation Club Senior Vice President Claire Bilby.  

Disney Vacation Club® is thrilled to announce that our friends at Adventures by Disney have developed three special editions of some of their most popular guided vacation adventures. Each of these scheduled unique Member journeys is sure to be a trip of a lifetime, and only available to you because you are part of the special community called Disney Vacation Club.

"Quest for the West" will lead Member families on a 7-day, 6-night Wyoming adventure departing on July 30, 2012, with scheduled visits to Jackson Hole, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and Brooks Lake Lodge. 

"Enchanted China" is an adults-only, 12-day, 11-night adventure departing on Sept. 16, 2012, to Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Guilin, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

"Sacred Valleys and Incan Cities," departing on Sept 16, 2012, is an adults-only, 9-day, 8-night Peruvian adventure through the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco and Lima. 

Each of these unique guided adventures - executed with a touch of Disney magic - will immerse you in an authentic cultural experience you will never forget. To top off the Member experience, adventurers will be treated to special surprises and gifts, including an embroidered fleece jacket, boxed set of collector pins plus a personal visit from Disney Vacation Club Senior Vice President and General Manager Claire Bilby*.

 Pricing for the trips is as follows:

Quest for the West:  443 points per adult, 421 per child
Enchanted China:  917 points per adult, 873 per child
Sacred Valleys and Incan Cities:  447 points per adult, 426 per child

Someday I will do that Quest for the West. I just can't take that many days in a row at this time in my life.

I was surprised that two of the three offers are adults only trips. And then I was more confused because the cost per points shows the cost for adults and the cost for children. I have to admit that both of the Enchanted China and Sacred Valleys and Incan Cities look really good. But the China trip point cost is almost double the cost in comparison to the other two trips. And I'm not sure when we'll have a spare 1800+ points, though.

I don't know how you would ever pay for any Adventure by Disney trip by points, they just cost so much. We have 340 points and it wouldn't even cover one person on some of the trips.

I know these trips are fantastic and I would love to go on one but they are just so expensive. I just don't see it happening.

I have to agree. I keep thinking that ABD probably does an excellent job, but the cost is hair raising.
