Disney unveiled a special member-only sales offer for Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows in February 2016, the first wide scale promotional offer for the resort. Members responded very favorably to the “Member 25th Anniversary” offer, resulting in the Polynesian posting its best month ever for sales in March 2016.
The Polynesian sold 136,294 points in March, easily exceeding its previous monthly high of 107,615 points set in January 2016. Overall, Disney Vacation Development sold 168,265 Disney Vacation Club points, its best single month for sales since March 2015, when 227,702 points were sold for the same 11 resorts.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows — With 136,294 points sold in March 2016, the Polynesian has now sold 29.1% of its 4,032,720 total points.
Including the spike in sales in March, the Polynesian is averaging almost 83,000 points in monthly sales. If sales continue at that rate, it would take about 34 months, or until January 2019, before the resort is sold out.

A single Guaranteed Week deed was sold in March 2016, bring to 86 the number of Guaranteed Week deeds sold for the Polynesian. So far, 12 Guaranteed Week deeds have been sold for the bungalows, 48 for the Lake View studios, and 26 for the Standard View studios.
Disney Vacation Development has declared 218 studios and 16 bungalows for the DVC inventory. There are still 142 studios and 4 bungalows that have not yet been declared. In terms of points, 62.88% of resort is now officially part of the Polynesian’s DVC inventory.
Although the Member 25th Anniversary offer ended in mid-March, shortly thereafter Disney Vacation Development revealed a second wide scale sales promotion for the Polynesian. This newest offer involves a developer credit that increases depending on how many points are being added. Deeds that are purchased with this latest promotion should start appearing on the Orange County Comptroller’s website by mid-April 2016.
Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas — Sales data for Aulani for February and March 2016 is not yet available. In January 2016, 45,051 points were sold for the resort, which was about half as the 89,463 points that were sold in December 2015. However, January may be a slow period for Aulani sales. In January 2015, only 42,463 points were sold, the fewest number of points sold since sales started to be tracked for Aulani in May 2014.
The sales data includes all nine DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand California Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds, and the Hawaii Bureau of Conveyances.
