Disney Vacation Club's current direct purchase incentive offers 20 free points for every 100 purchased at select resorts but the offer will not be around much longer.
June 15, 2012 is the final day to take advantage of the "free points" incentive. This promotion gives buyers 120 points for the cost of 100 when buying at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas or Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.
Ownership at Animal Kingdom Villas is currently priced at $130 per point. Buyers will pay the $130 price for the first 100 points while receiving a total of 120 per year for the duration of the contract. The incentive brings the net price to approximately $108 per point, subject to closing costs and other fees.
Aulani prices are a bit higher with a base price of $135 per point.
While there is no up-front charge for the incentive points, owners are responsible for yearly dues on the incentive points.
Known price levels and incentives for all Disney Vacation Club properties can be found on the Current Pricing & Promotions page.
First time buyers are encouraged to contact us for a referral to a Disney Vacation Club salesperson before proceeding. The referral helps to support DVCNews.com and will secure future access to referral-only incentives and discounted pricing. For details contact us at administrator@dvcnews.com.
I wonder if May will have a big surge as well? I know it would be tempting if we were in the market for 100 points (plus an extra 20). But I would still have to check the resale market to see if the difference in cost would be worth it. Those extra 20 points for the next 44 years could make the difference.
