I have been on the hunt for a resale contract for a while as some of you might know. at first I was only interested to get a 50pt contract but I have saved up enough money to possibly even buy a 100pt contract. still looking but I hope that I can find something by september that way I can use it for my november trip to the half marathon. Woot Woot!

Good Luck in finding the perfect contract Brad. I'd start seriously looking now because if it takes 60 days to process and you might have the points in your account early enough to get a room duipring the 5 K and Jersey week in November.

we have points in holding that we are hoping to use during tHat period too. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us.

Looks like I jinxed myself...someone made an offer to a different agent at the resale company at the same time as me and their offer made it to the seller first. phooey.

What a bummer to get shut out that way. Maybe the seller will reject that offer, and you'll be back in. I think the hardest part about buying resale is the waiting. You wait to find the perfect contract and the process after that often runs an additional 60 days if the DVc doesn't ROFR it and send you back to square one. Oh my stomach hurts just thinking about it.

Oh man, I didnt read what cn wrote. Dang, thats a bummer hopefully you find something worthwhile! I just made an offer on an akv 100pt contract with 52pts coming in aug2012 I previously made an offer on this contract in february but the declined lets see if they are desperate now. Lol! I hope they have become desperate and will come down from 76/pt to 68/pt

The most I am willing to pay is maybe 70/pt and that's going over my 68/pt limit. I really wanted to get something at around 65/pt but I realize I an getting a smaller contract.

All my VWL points went up for sale and were snapped up. Disney passed ROFR on two of the six, and the other four are waiting on Disney's decision. I'll miss having VWL as a home resort, but we'll still visit, as I love the WL.

how many points do you currently have?

I had 1,250 last year before I sold my AKV points, which brought me to the 1,040 I have today. With the sale of VWL and purchase of more BWV under way, I should end up with 1,201 points spread across four resorts (mostly BLT and BWV).
