Does anyone know when the dates for the 2012 Halloween Party will be posted for MK? I would like to make my reservations over the next few weeks but noticed that in 2011 celebration was only on specific evenings.

MNSSHP tickets usually don't go on sale until the May/June time frame. Until they are officially announced, your best option would be to keep an eye on the Magic Kingdom park hours once they are released for Sept/Oct. Look for nights the MK closes at 7pm. Those are nights that event could happen.

Touringplans.com has a calendar in which they project this years MNSSHP based on the previous year's dates. They do this yearly and are almost always right. This is by no means official, but the dates predicted for 2012 are as follows:

September: 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 30

October: 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31

November: 1

Probably why we'll never go to WDW during this time ever again. In a 28 day span, MK closes early 18 times. What compounds the problem is that the 10 days it remains open, it is artificially packed with people not willing to burn a ticket on a day the park closes at 7.

I totally understand your reasoning, but for someone with different touring styles it doesn't make much of an effect. I am a rope drop person when it comes to the MK. I'm usually done with what I want to do by 1, and since I have an AP I don't burn a ticket going to the MK for a few hours 2-3 times during my ten day visit. I don't much care to watch wishes from the MK, much prefer seeing it from the Poly beach. About the only thing I miss is the Magic the Memories and You, so usually I'll deal with the crowds one of the nights to watch that.

I am not an Electrical parade person, but if the rumors are correct and they bring back Spectro Magic then I'll have to see that, as it is a favorite of mine. But I'll never stop going in October, it's the time I like best both crowd-wise and weather-wise.

I was trying to do my own calculation based on the 2011 dates and this just about matches what I came up with. I would love to get a reservation at BLT at the 7 month mark before the dates are announced. If not looking for VWL. I have 2 "littles" that would do much better if we are in walking distance (or boat ride) of the park.
