Online check-in requests expanded

During the condo association meeting in December, Disney Vacation Club VP Clarie Bilby made a point of informing members that resorts were placing greater emphasis on meeting room requests attached to DVC reservations. That philosophy has since trickled-down to the online check-in service.

That's a nice change. Still too many days out before we can check it out for ourselves. I'd be interested in hearing about other member's experience with this new option.

Just tried it and could not get past the first continue box.
I'm using a Mac and tried Safari and Firefox.
Maybe the system is having issues.

Cool upgrade! Maybe the bugs will be worked out when I hit 10 day... (less than 2 weeks from now!)

I also hope they get the options grouped together (floors in one ares, buildings together, etc) 'cause that screenshot was a mess!!!

Looking forward to use those requests soon at SSR as well.

I don't think it would be a problem to use seemingly contradictory requests. For example, I would like to stay either in Congress Park or Grandstand, so I plan on checking those two options. Hopefully that makes it obvious that I would prefer either of those 2 locations over the others.

Cool feature! I wont have to opportunity to use it for 108 days, but we never really make requests at Kidani anyway.....Have no idea when my next trip to SSR is, but we always make a request to stay in Grandstand, so it will be nice to request this way instead of having to make another call to have it added.

So I did the Online Check in for BLT today, worked fine after some hassle trying from DVC member site, but when routed through the Disney main US site it worked fine.
It seems the direct link from the DVC member site is broken or not working as intended. Doing it from the main site still routed me to the DVC member Online thingy anyways.
A tip for those that have problems doing so, it is not your browser or Mac that is the problem, it must be something with the link from DVCmembers.com
However, the options for Online check in for BLT was not so much filled with options. If I can get the link to work you will see......
The need for requesting a balcony at BLT seem a bit out of sync with reality.

I guess "Request Balcony" means you don't want a first floor villa which has a patio. Wow, what limited requests for BLT compared to SSR. So how are we going to get a high floor north end? I'd be happy if they just allow high floor and even number.

We can hope that changes will be made to allow more. If not emails need to be sent by members to member satisfaction that they need more request options for BLT.

So I did my online checkin just now for our BWV stay beginning the 18th. I got the same requests that have been there forever:
Room Requests: Ground floor or near transportation
Housekeeping requests: Pack & Play Yard

Really? Like there isn't a pack & play yard in every single room? lol
Those were the only offerings for BWV, so I guess I'll be making a call to member services with my requests.
