BLT at 7 months Dec 20 -26

we have 4 families who are planing on staying at BLT between the dates of 20-27 of December 2012. 3 Of us were able to book our rooms at the 11 moth window. The only room not available at that day was was the standard view room. We have gotten a lake view, our other friends have a lake view and our third traveling party will have a theme park view. THe 4th family will be hoping for a lake view studio for the 20-26. She is worried that she is not going to get in to BLt since the rest of us are already booked there. I have been telling her if she calls at the 7 month window she should be able to get at Lake view room a BLT. DOes anyone have any experience with this at busy times? I had BLT booked for spring break but I called at the 7 month mark and booked WLV. Is bay lake one of the resorts that sells out right away at the holiday time? thanks in advance

I certainly haven't tried it myself.
But from what I've read on these boards, I'd be shocked if they got BLT for that time period at 7 months.
Hope I'm wrong!

I've never tried during that week, but would expect it to be tough. However, BLT is fully declared and lake view is the most common, so that helps improve your odds. Since you own there, have you been looking at availability with the new online ressie tool? It would at least let you peek under the hood a bit to see if there is hope. In the meantime, did they at least book their home resort so they have something? That's what I'd do to hedge my bets, ESPECIALLY during a peak period like that! GL

I will check online as we get closer. Their home resort is Aulani so they wont be booking anything till the 7 month window opens up. We are still keeping our fingers crossed that they will get something at BLT. So far the only room category that isn't available for that week is the standard view. We know they may just have to take whatever they can get..... I do have hope because when I called to make our spring break ressie I originally booked BLT (around 9 months out) then called at the 7 month window and was able to get VWL, but when i spoke to member services i was told that there BLT lake view doesn't usually sell out until the 7 month window opens, even during spring break. lets hope that holds true for Christmas as well!
