The way I read this is they had the lower fees but when DVD allowed to withdraw the purchase during the 10 day period they turned it in. Only to buy again at the higher maintenance fees. Did I get that correct?

Oh, maybe I misunderstood. I thought they bought in October 2010. Didn't founders at Aulani start buying in the spring of 2010?

We bought in 2010 and decided it was not a fit for us - so withdrew.
After expressing interest again - we were put into the pot of those in LIMBO waiting for the State of Hawaii to re negotiate MFs. So we are now with the new group of buyers that pay higher MFs ...
