The only member enhancement I heard so far is free wifi. Do they really think free wifi is going to be enough to make members feel more appreciated?

I can't believe she would actually admit this. She better be willing to follow this up with one hell of an announcement on how she intends to fix it.DVCNews DVCNews.com
Claire Bilby... Talking about leadership style, background, etc. Understands passion members have for #DVC. Knows members don't feel appreciated.

One of Tim's tweets mentioned that DVC members will be able to buy the TIW card without an AP. That's a nice perk. And online reservations will start in February on a limited basis (whatever that means).

I am happy to hear that she is aware of that. I don't know what she can do to change that, but the awareness is the first step.

I don't know but don't think reallocating the points is going to help

If I understand the free wifi correctly, couldn't the case be made that it's not a MEMBER enhancement? I thought free wifi was now going to be available to anyone staying at a Disney resort. If so, I don't need to be a DVC member to get free wifi. Maybe I'm grumpy because I need another cup of coffee, but to me, members just lost a perk of being a member-free internet because now everyone gets it.

Actually I'd be surprised if they don't give us the same discount. Most of the DVC member discounts are matched percentage wise with the AP discount. And the real purpose of the TIW card is to get guests to eat and TS restaurants. So if giving the TIW cost discount to DVC members will get them out of their villas and into WDW restaurants it would be their goal.

At least they got the first step. Admitting that members are unhappy. I have never gotten tiw and probably never will as I dont eat out at disney when I go. I limit my spending because I dont want the price tag bomb on my credit card! I think they should really start noticing who are the #1 fans and the best customers of disney... The guests that bring in the most money... US! Mostly in the fact that disney has our money for the next years of vacation that we havent even thought of taking yet. I know we technically get a discount on our rooms because we bought dvc but you have to be able to offer something to go along with our membership! I for example would love to get bumper stickers, posters, and stuff at the resorts that makes me feel different than everyone else that is staying at a disney deluxe resort.

I have been saying this for years. I totally agree. #1 fans, #1 people when it comes to recommending WDW and DVC. #1 spenders long term. We are just like the loyal shoppers at any store, give us a few decent perks. I have always said we should get ticket discounts and food discounts. Getting a lunch discount at a slow restaurant isn't a very good perk to me.
Yes a cash one time visitor will spend more than I will on one trip this year but as a DVC member I am going to be coming every year for the next 40 years. I might also bring others along and recommend the parks as a vacation or even get someone to sign up with DVC. I might sign up for multiple marathons, do tours, buy merchandise, go on a Cruise and buy lots of drinks, eat at Signature restaurants, bring kids and grandkids and spoil them, all long term cash to Disney but they don't seem to care much.
