I would like to see VWL & BCV offer more rooms, but would want the rooms to come from parent resort inventory; WL and BC. I know this will never happen because of the cash occupancy levels the two resorts maintain, but I can always hope.

DVCNews Debates: Which needs more? –
10-24-2011,12:30 AM
Disney Vacation Club resort vary greatly in size--from nearly 900 two bedroom equivalents at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort down to just 50 at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. The number of villas available impacts the number of points available to purchase, number of villas available to book, success in booking at 7 months, success in booking on short notice, resale value of points, etc. ?
Topic:? Which DVC resort to you most wish had a greater number of villas available to members?

So far I've had good luck booking what I wanted at 11 & 7 months as applicable. However, it sounds like Concierge is very difficult to get at AKV since there are so few rooms- perhaps expanding that and/or adding some converted Club Level rooms to one of the other resorts might be a good addition.

To me, its obvious that DVC has to expand its offerings at Disneyland. 50 villas is not enough to satisfy the needs of a Vacation Club that has grown to about 400,000 members.

VGC needs more rooms. It's too hard to get a reservation there.

I too have to go with the VCG needing more rooms. Even the owners that bought VGC have problems getting rooms there during many of the months of the year. And like many DVC members we hope to stay there for a DL trip. At WDW, I think more Club level rooms at other resorts would be very popular.

Another vote for Disneyland!

Visiting WDW since 1972... too many times to count!

Disneyland already has WAY too many DVC rooms. You have 50 rooms for an entire themepark/entertainment/resort complex that covers about 12 acres...ok....maybe a couple more. WDW has over 20,000 acres...do the math.
The number of rooms should be directly proportional to the size of the Castle.
