I've never seen the movie, and my friends that did see it said the story was weak, but it looked amazing.
A lot if questions I had were answered here:

Twilight Zone, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Muppets...all not originally Disney projects yet seamlessly brought into Disney attractions. Why not Avatar?
I for one can't wait to see what Disney Imagineers do with this. There is a lot of potential to make AK more exciting.WDW first visit in 1973 -- 25 times to WDW, 5 times to DL since.
DVC owners at Grand Californian since 1/2010

I thought the movie was ok, didnt even see it in the theater, waited until Scott's son bought it and we borrowed it from him
I didn't love it...Didn't say to myself, ''gee Disney should do something with this''..I like AK for the animals, I understand the movie's conservation, blah, blah, but I still think it fits better in DHS, if it fits at all...IMHO.

I'm just glad to see them invest serious money into the parks, especially when the end result isn't a sum zero ( open a new attraction, close an old one).
I'm confident that I'll enjoy the finished product, regardless of the movie.

I believe camp Minnie Mickey will soon be meeting Mr. Bulldozer. Though I am very excited for this I do hope it dose not eliminate the possibility of a future beastly kingdom because there are just too many good mythical creatures to leave untapped.
Also I find it silly that every project Disney has done in the last 3 years every one refers to as Disney's answer to Potter. In reality Potter was their answer to Disney. A fully immersed and themed land, Something the D has done since Day 1...

While disney may have started the process from Day 1, they definitely started resting on their laurels as nobody stepped up to challenge them. While I love AK, I hate the parking lot themed carnevil area known as Dinoland.
MK sat stagnet for how many years until Potterville opened up ?
Honestly, we the customers are the real winners regardless of who's leading and who's following. Let's hope they both keep causing the other to continue raising the bar.

Hay, Dinorama is perfictaly themed to a crappy carnivel, Including the safty record...(too soon?)
Actrually I consider it their way of making fun of a traditional theme park, and I do enjoy PW. I would love to see them add a fun House or Old ride threw spook house to this area. Especially if on the outside it looked like a crappy trailer mounted spook house but once inside it went threw to a massave show building and was an E ticket attraction.

I agree with you on that. I remember the day we watched a tiger playing with a big bouncy ball in Panjani Forest Exploration Trail. Then the day we watched a gorilla drag his blanket all around and carefully spread it out before he sat down. That stuff kept us entertained far more than any ride.
I can't help but wonder-if this new land goes where Camp Minnie-Mickey currently is, what will happen to that land.
