Trader sam's enchanted tiki bar!!!!

We spent a night at the Anaheim Howard Johnson last week before flying up to the Yosemite area.
First off, the Howard Johnson is a pretty awesome hotel for the price.
You can't beat sitting poolside and being able to look up and see the Monorail go by.

But I'm posting because of where we had dinner and drinks.
I finally made it to the Disneyland Hotel's new lounge/bar, Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.
Very Disney, Very cool!

Despite it's cool name, I never cared much for the Disneyland Hotel's previous main bar, "The Lost Bar".
It just didn't have a fun theme or feel to it.
It really made me miss the previous main bar at the resort, the "Neon Cactus".

But those days of longing for the Neon Cactus are now long gone.

Trader Sam's is an awesome gem of a place. Not too big, but full of things to check out.
The Polynesian food is great (get the PuPu Platter), they have my favorite beer in the world, Hinano (brewed in Tahiti), and the whole bar comes alive when patrons order certain drinks which trigger bartender yells and special effects.

I didn't even mind that there wasn't a TV inside to watch games on. (normally a sports fans nightmare).

Plus there's tropical themed entertainment outside surrounded by what was probably close to 50 tiki torches on the outside patios.
This place is a pure dream for a guy like me who loves Disney and Tropical Island vacations!!

The DL Hotel's new Monorail themed pool slides right next door also add to the atmosphere.

Just thought I'd mention it to those of you with Disneyland Resort trips planned.
Even if you're not a drinker, it's not to be missed.
As I mentioned earlier....it's pure Disney.

Heard a real good review of this place on a recent Podcast. Sounds pretty cool.

Sounds awesome! I've been thinking of driving up just to see it. I'm only about 90 miles away, but the traffic can be pretty unbearable a lot of the time.
