Thanks SO much for the link, that's one awesome article! I love reading about Walt, and the first person info is just the best. I have to get back out to SF to see the museum someday. I was there most recently in 2002, the museum did not exist then. Have you been to the Walt Disney Family Museum Dizfan?

Unfortunately, no
But I REALLY want to.
Last year for the 55th Anniversary of Disneyland, they had a whole weekend of presentations that I would have loved to have attended. But I found out about it like 3 weeks before, and they were all sold out.
I'll go someday soon. It's relatively so close to where I live, so I have little excuse not to.

Thank you dizfan for sharing this article on Walt Disney. My DH and I would love to go to SF and see the museum. I had wondered why it was in SF versus Orange County and now I know. I didn't realize Diana Miller and family live in Napa Valley now. I still think it's a shame that none of the current Disney family members take an active part of the company. But that's what happens with corporations.
When I was growing up I always thought of Walt Disney as a contemporary of my parent's and I'm always surprised to learn he was closer in age to my grandparents. He was so vibrant and was the true definition of a visionary.
Hopefully one day we will get to SF and will add a day just to tour this museum. Thanks again.
And Happy Belated Birthday to the original, Disneyland. I thought of it all day yesterday, but didn't post anything to these boards. Where would we all be without the original park?--Denise
