Personally, I don't find the Monorail system much different than the bus system - and I respond to it in much the same way = with avoidance. DH still thinks of the Monorail as a 'ride' and misses it when we don't use it at least once per trip (altho we have missed it ). I try and play the same game with the 'wheeled' transport as I do with my weight watchers - how can I get from here to there with avoiding the use of....
