We got one of those green cardboard binders too with our add on in July 2010. We had a blue box before. When I saw this one I thought I could organize everything better. But since the top is open everything falls out pretty easily, especially those little POS books. So now the POS books are in the blue box and the paperwork in the green binder. If we weren't such geeks we'd send the POS books to the recycle bin.
I keep thinking that if we ever had to evacuate for a hurricane we need to make sure we grab that green binder. So I've added it to my emergency list of important items.![]()

Thanks DL!
Yes indeed, many happy memories to be made with those points. BTW, not sure if I mentioned it but inside the Fedex box was a green binder-like cardboard thing instead of a blue one. Hadn't seen that design before... I took some pics of it and the hat, but I'm not sure they are really worth posting...

PP- We are planning on a group trip in Sept. 2011 (hopefully move the first 4 nights from our current BLT SV studio to a THV [or waitlist that and grab a 2 BR @ OKW]) and I will use my first 2 years of points (banked 2010 already & use 2011) toward that to reduce borrowing on my BLT contract.
Then the next 2 years of points (use & borrow) for my Aug/Sept. 2012 trip for the DL half trip (so I can snag Coast to Coast bling
) I'm planning; I originally only had enough VGC points to book 4 nights @ 11 mo; short 15 points for the 5th night IIRC. I thought our 5 night Oct. trip was on the short end, so from now on I can do a 6 nighter every 2 or 3 years to DL.
With the "leftover" points I have ideas for various non-home stays; want to try all the resorts eventually so this will help fuel that...

I have a 60 pt and 40 pt to make up my 100 add on at VGC. One of the units is 16 (0.0XXX%) and the other is 14B (0.4XX%) I believe. The way they divide up the ownership percentage there is hard.
I know these units do not correspond to any physical part of the resort but I would like to get a more realistic idea of if my percentage would equate to a cabinet door or a bathroom tile or to something more grand like the wooden entry door.

That is NOT true.
A "unit" is a specific room or rooms within the resort. Disney could change the "room #" or name displayed on the door in the hallway, but you legally do own an interest in a portion of that specific location on those floor(s) in the real world. However, the way DVC works what they physically correspond to doesn't matter in terms of booking or what rooms you get when you stay at the resort.
Unit 16 is a block of 3 rooms; 4505, 4507, and 4509. That looks like a 2 BR dedicated (4505) and a 2 BR lockoff (4507 is the 1 BR and 4509 the studio).
Unit 14B is room 3522, a 2 BR dedicated.
Therefore, you can multiply your ownership interest by the square footage of all the room(s) combined in each unit to help determine what you choose to call 'yours'...
Hope that helps!Last edited by DisneyGeek; 12-22-2010 at 10:59 AM.

PS- When I say "doorknob" I do so tongue in cheek; I actually own more square footage than just that in my various units... In some cases I might own enough for a whole chair or something!
I just like the doors 'cause I take my picture with / in front of them.

I love it! I keep my deeds in a firesafe but I hadn't thought about prepping all the other docs for emergency evac...
Luckily we don't have many hurricanes in northeast Ohio!
