Wow, I would LOVE to get some forever stamps with a Pixar (or any Disney) twist!!! Not that I have anything against the Liberty Bell, but it's getting a little dull to buy that stamp over and over and over and over... Hope this is true!![]()

SEE UPDATE IN POST #26
According to Linn's Stamp News, in 2011 the United States Postal Service will release a group of stamps depicting Pixar films. The stamps will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the incorporation of Pixar Studios on February 3, 1986. The USPS has not released any specific information about what will appear on the stamps, or how many stamps will be in the issuance, but Linn's believes the Pixar stamps will have the 'forever' denomination.Last edited by denlo; 08-08-2011 at 10:39 AM. Reason: Stamps are now available for preorder

Linn's is a very reliable source in reporting USPS and stamp related items, so I would say these Pixar stamps will be published. The only thing that may delay their release is the USPS's penchant of juggling its stamp release schedule to maximize a marketing or public relations tie-in. It would not surprise me if the Pixar stamps were released around the time a Pixar film (Cars 2?) is released.
By the way, if you are tired with the Liberty Bell forever stamps, then I suggest you get some of the new Evergreens forever stamps that were released on October 21, 2010. There are four designs showing a ponderosa pine, eastern red cedar, blue spruce, and balsam fir.

I am so happy to hear this! I bought a ton of the 42 cent Disney stamps just before they were discontinued. I am just about out of them, and of course I have to add the two cent stamp to make the postage correct. I LOVE Pixar! I am looking forward to seeing these stamps and plan to buy many of them.
Thanks for the heads up!

I received an email from the United Postal Service showing the proposed artwork for the Pixar stamps that will be released in 2011. The set of five Pixar stamps is called the "Say Hello" series. The subjects of the stamps will be Lightning McQueen and Mater from "Cars"; Remy and Linguini from "Ratatouille"; Buzz Lightyear and Green Aliens from "Toy Story"; Dug and Mr. Fredrickson from "Up"; and Wall-E from "Wall-E."

No release date has been set for these stamps, but I would guess these stamps will be released about the time "Cars 2" comes out this summer. Like all commemorative being released by the USPS in 2011, the Pixar stamps are non denominated "forever" stamps, meaning that they will always be the equivalent of the first class postage rate.

Nice stamps. We have to buy extra, especially since they'll be Forever stamps.

According to the USPS site the stamps go on sale August 19, so your guess about coinciding with the Cars release this summer was right on. Scroll down on the following link until you see "Send a Hello":

Is anyone else surprised Remy was included? I didn't think that Ratatouille was that popular of a picture, especially when compared with some of the other Pixar releases. (ie Monsters Inc).
