OK Dan, if you could have EPCOT to yourself and it would include Illuminations, where would you stand?
One time we were at EPCOT for late entry, for whatever reason they did Illuminations twice. It was one of those magical moments for sure.
Not sure why and it has never happened to us again.
We have a secret spot we love, love, love to watch Illuminations from. We went back there and had to share the spot with about 25 other people, rather than hundreds. But we could sit rather than stand. It was heaven.

I'm not going to be too greedy here on this one
. I would only want a fully staffed World Showcase at EPCOT from about 5PM to 11PM. The public can have the rest of EPCOT for the night. Would want to bring along DW and some friends, DS and DD stay home, and then go sample every country's
. Probably get stuck in UK or Germany (positive military flashbacks happening right now
) for awhile but that's alright. Of course, the evening would have to include Illuminations
and I can pick where I want my "party" to stand. And best of all we could show up to the spot 1 minute before the show starts!
Like I said, not asking too much.Dan

I'm with wd on this one: not that I enjoy it when it is really crowded, but I like having some people around most of the time.
I think everyone can have a little feeling of 'it's all mine' tho, especially at MK and Epcot at the end of the night. If you stay for the Goodnight Kiss at MK, you'll share the park with only a handful of people, most of them CMs . And as Kathy said, if you stay after Illuminations, it's so calm and relaxing and quiet that it's almost like having the park to yourself.
AK at night can be almost spooky, especially when you are kinda night blind like me!
The only times I've stayed late at DS, I felt I was being shooed out the gate or at least herded...
So if I won and had the park to myself for a day, I think I'd ask to exchange it for : a night in the castle adn a lifetime pass.

It's funny, but I really didn't think about that offer was really only for me. I just assumed I could bring in friends and family too. I can't imagine doing any of the Disney parks without someone there too.
