This thread discusses the Content article: Worldwide Park Passes Discussed

As a frequent visitor to WDW and DLR I would be very interested in this possibility. I think a US based theme parks annual pass would be the most viable option, since most DVC members frequent those parks. Good for Disney for not dismissing it out of hand. It is becomming apearent that new Disney Management listens to its customers.

There is only one problem to this idea .

Disneyland and WDW are owned by Disney

all the Disneys in europe are lease name holds not owned or run by the Walt Disney Co.

So the passes could work for Disneyland or WDW but they would never agree in europe.

Beleive you me I would love for that to happen But reality is no..

If DL would consider putting a grown up sized Castle in the middle of the park maybe I\'d be interested visiting DL at least once a year.

I don\'t think it could be ruled-out entirely, but there would definitely be some logistical issues to overcome. Each participating park would have to agree to take a certain part of the pie. The multiple ownership issues and even exchange rates would certainly be hurdles.

In a way it\'s similar to the dining plan. Of the $47 daily fee, each participating location agrees to accept a portion for each diner served. Non-Disney restaurants can (and do) opt-out if they so desire.

I could be wrong but my understanding is that TWDC controls most of the day-to-day operations at the Paris and Hong Kong parks. It may be relatively simple to gain their agreements. But dealing with the Oriental Land Company over TDL and TDS would be an entirely different matter.

Just having a WDW/DL pass would be a nice beginning. Certainly the idea has been discussed but I wonder why Disney has passed on the concept thus far. Enticing a WDW guest to make a trip out west would seem to be even more beneficial to the bottom line than giving someone unlimited access to the 4 Florida parks.

I did write a proposal for this a while back it went all the way up to exc admin they said it would not work from one point only that Paris and Hong Kong are lease name holds only.

Hell to even stay there you have to buy passes whether you go in th parksor not and the wdco can not chnage that.

I also have a proposal pending review for a dvc pass to the world as of today I have started this .

It would cover WDW And DL crossing fingers here.

By the way get cracking on them Pictures lol

I think it only makes sense to do it for the US parks, not so much because of the legal issues with the foreign parks, but because there would be very little demand for this. There would be a resonable demand for a US pakrs Annual Pass, as there are many disney fans (DVC and otherwise) who visit parks on both coasts annually.

If you visit HKDL, you\'ll realize how big Aurora\'s castle in CA actually is!

    Yeah. HK\'s is puny.
