I've done Storytellers Cafe a couple of times, and really enjoyed it.

DLR breakfast recommendations –

I will be at DLR Sept 3-6 for the Disneyland Half Marathon. My waitlist came through for all nights at VGC (I was thinking I would have to split one night in a studio with two nights at the Disneyland Hotel), though the studio is ridiculously expensive (points-wise) for just three nights.
Anyway, the 60-day mark for being able to make dining reservations is coming up soon. I'm trying to decide on breakfast selections. I'm pretty sure I want to do Goofy's Kitchen, but for the other two mornings, I can't decide between Plaza Inn (Minnie and friends), Storyteller's Cafe, and Carnation Cafe. All of them are character breakfasts, except the Carnation Cafe. I'm leaning towards Carnation Cafe (unless I get warned away from it), which leaves chosing between Storyteller's and Plaza Inn for the final morning.
I'd much appreciate everyone's thoughts, opinions, etc.Sophia: “The race was underway. I start off slow. I’m cagey, like a panther, but when the time is right I pounce! The crowd is on its feet: ‘Sophia! Sophia!’ I could see the finish line; it was only 200-300 yds away. And then, it happened—what every runner dreads. I hit the wall.”
Dorothy: “Ah, ma, you ran out of steam?”
Sophia: “No, I actually hit a wall. They put up a new Wendy’s on Collins Ave.”

Our favorite breakfast, believe it or not, is at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland resort. The atmosphere for breakfast is completely different than it is for evening dinners. The lights are on, and the celebrity pictures around the room are very visible.
It's less expensive than Storytellers, which we also enjoy, and much less crowded and more peaceful than Goofy's Kitchen.

Interesting- maybe I'll try that for my BD. I'm just racking up plans for my trip. Seems sooooooo last minute to not have ressies for anything but my room and it only being 104 days 16 hours 3 minutes... away!
Driving me nuts they don't have 180+10 ADRs or any park schedules posted yet! At least Halloween Party tickets go on sale soon; have to try and content myself with that...

I didn't even know Steakhouse 55 served breakfast. I'll have to check out the menu on allears.

Well, after much though, I went with Carnation Cafe, Storyteller's, and Goofy's Kitchen. I figure it will be easy to stumble down to Storyteller's after getting cleaned up from the race. I thought about the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues, but didn't know if I would have to pay for the ticket in advance. I didn't want to risk not eating there and losing the money. I also booked dinner Sunday night after the race at Napa Rose.
I just have to be sure and stop (either coming or going) and In-n-Out. I miss that place.Sophia: “The race was underway. I start off slow. On a trip to Vegas this past February, we went to and In-n-Out. I was not impressed.
I'd been all excited, but found the burgers just okay, and really disliked the fries. Was this just a bad experience?
Jack in the Box was also
.
Carl's Jr. was the pretty good.
Has anyone ever gone to "5 Guys"? Awesome.

I know some people are not impressed--I may not have been the first time I ate there, either. But I do think the burgers and the fries are excellent. I guess it's sort of an experience for me, though I belive I have forgotten how to order what I like.

Put me down as another In and Out Burger fan. I don't even like burgers that much! Nick I really think you just had bad luck, sorry to hear you didn't enjoy.
