My point exactly because you and I will both see that route as part of our full in January. I can't believe they would make it the same. Laura will be doing it twice too, right?

I just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck in your 1/2 Marathons! Reading a bit on this thread made me wish I could be there to cheer you on. And it's also making me feel very jealous!

I'd been avoiding looking at the Marathon threads because I knew I couldn't possibly participate after my AT surgery last March. Heh, 7 months post and I can walk 2 miles at 3.3mph, but still struggling with strength in my leg so can't do much more than that yet. I am on the home stretch though and my schedule calls for getting up to 4 miles at a time by the end of Feb and then holding there for 4-6 months or so to really condition my foot, ankle and leg back to regular walking. I have a 10k in my plans for August '09.

IF and only IF that is successful, I might consider training again for a 1/2, maybe the 2010 Princess ( er did I spell that right?) is in my future.

At least I'm getting to the point where I'm feeling the surgery was the right thing to do! I can actually go 15 minutes on the elliptical now without pain! I haven't been able to do that since Feb '07!

And I'm including this guy just because he's cute!

Hey there Nancy!!! Good to see you.

It sounds like your recovery is going well, even if it feels very slow at times. I am glad to hear that! Continued success on that front and you will be outpacing me in no time

Hope all other things are going well for you and yours.

I haven't heard back from my contacts(official and unofficial) at Disney. Add that with pretty new website with course info remove and "just check back later" Disney line, I don't think they know what they are going to do.

Good to see you Nancy! FYI - originally, porncess started asone of my infamous typos. Nono had a great definition of it standing for teh overuse of teh princess theme, though, and it stuck.

Way to go on sticking with teh exercise, even though it's been a long slow road. Feel free to stick around and let us know your progress.

Thanks Robert for the update. Hopefully we will hear something soon!

Hey Nancy! Keep on the steady path to recovery, and I bet you will be stronger than ever!!

Speaking of recovery, my hamstrings been hurting this week, so I've taken it slow. Lots of walking, stretching, and they are feeling better. Supposed to be 29 for our LR tomorrow morning, right now I am counting 3 layers that I'll be wearing. We don't like it this cold down here! Going to to run most of it, I'll back off If I start feeling them again.
