Thanks CN & MM! Still need to download pics; just got back from church. Legs (esp. calves) are still feeling the race, but really not too bad. Incidentally, I smile each time I pass the new "13.1" oval magnet I slapped on my car last night...

PB is STILL chugging. I started it first and only 4 of 12 pics finished, plus I have at least 2 more I also want to add... While it was dragging its feet I was at least able to get this short video clip from the Gourmet Pasta Dinner on Friday night. DW & I went; the $25 a head was over priced and we didn't find the gourmet , but it wasn't bad and the ambiance was COOL! The B-52 was the featured aircraft and we had multiple flyovers the next morning and it is on the swag & medals, so it was pretty sweet eating dinner under one's wing!

OK, finally loaded & tagged most of 'em.

The hotel Rozzie found was a good deal with a convenient location; glad we also booked there. Even had a race welcome sign out front:



Had to walk through the ENTIRE expo to get to number pick up. Once you got that, you went down to the arena floor to snag your goodie bag (which included your shirt & pins):





I thought the centerpieces at the pasta dinner (see video above) were pretty cool:



For race day, *I* was sporting my feathers; one other male on the team chose NOT too...



DW caught a pic of me prob. just a few hundred feet from the finish- still upright and all!

After we got home last night I was hungry and McDonald's was running a sale on 'nuggets; $9.99 got ya' 50!



Looking at that pic again, I guess Figment was too! (For the record, I didn't eat that whole plate though- only about 33.5; DW & Izzy helped with the rest)

Even the empty bag itself was kinda' cool!



Note to self: I still need to take a close up pic of my finisher's medal & the towel I got at the end of the finish chute. DW also got some balloon cheer-on thingys and a USO towel (IIRC) on race day. I didn't realize the space blanked had AFM artwork on them, or I wouldn't grabbed one of them as well!

Noted some of you where in our backyard (Wright Patt) this weekend. Congrats on doing the AFM. DW did the half marathon last year, skipped this year due to a lot of different medical stuff throughout the year. We have been here at Wright Patt for 10 years now. We are a military family with DW and I both retired Air Force (22 years service for me and 21 for DW). We are working now on the base as civilians.

Congrats again on doing the AFM.

Go Air Force!!!
