Oh yeah. It is better than everywhere else around here... but it was so hot yesterday we had to turn on our central air. It took all afternoon to get the house under 80F (and that's with two central air units, a white roof, a light colored siding, and all the window blinds shut). I think we spent $500 on electric to do that.
But by 7:30 pm, d and I were comfortably at yoga by the bay.So we're thinking after tonight, we'll be back to just regular outside air.
I am running tonight on the treadmill again. I think it is time for some short hill-sprints, and since half of the free world is here now, it would be a disaster to try and run up and down the boardwalk ramps.

Here is a pic of my son & grandson in the 5K they ran on Monday. My grandson got a $20 gift certificate for the local running store for being the youngest runner. (5 1/2)

It is miserable running in this humidity. I keep going, because I have races I'm training for. But I really not having any fun, having to work so hard to move and breathe. I'm glad I only had 2 miles tonight. Three miles tomorrow, then 5 miles on Saturday.
Sophia: “The race was underway. I start off slow. I’m cagey, like a panther, but when the time is right I pounce! The crowd is on its feet: ‘Sophia! Sophia!’ I could see the finish line; it was only 200-300 yds away. And then, it happened—what every runner dreads. I hit the wall.”
Dorothy: “Ah, ma, you ran out of steam?”
Sophia: “No, I actually hit a wall. They put up a new Wendy’s on Collins Ave.”

Hang in there. I won't say it will become easy but it will eventually will become the "norm". Then when you think your brain will explode with one more humid hot run, and you want to quit running for good---a cool front will come mid or late Sept. Actually maybe a week or two earlier up where you are. It's brutal too down here. Just know your pace will be slower, and will pick back up when fall comes.
