MM - DOn't worry about your corral. I was in A (same as Roz and nono) last year and I was down for a 2:30. IF you want ot start with someone, then go ahead an go down. You can do that race day. You will be fine. I am 100% with LIsa, though, don't give ourself a goal for this one. Tehre is no reason that you shoudl finihs your first half marathon adn feel anything but jubilation! PS - Can you PM me info so I can track you next week. ;-) OMG, I was so tempted to try the driking chocolate in January. Thinking it may be one of those things I shoudl enever try, though.
Lisa - Feeling better? I hope so. BTW, Scott wanted ot know if Rick had taken his DOnald medal of yet.He says to tell him congrats on teh PR!
Craig - Great job working out while sick. Don't push too ahrd, though. Hope you are better soon!
nono - Hope you get a break in teh weather soon!
Roz and Mr ROz - Have a great race!!!!!!! Not sure if runing si a good thing when your hair's on fire. Stop drom and dunk seems better.

I don't think you should set one this time! It is your first Half Marathon and you are already pushing yourself, albeit carefully, to do it despite injury. Just do it for the fun of it and you can establish it as a PR which you will surely better in the future

I think you should back off when you feel ongoing pain. I don't back off for a twinge of pain. I slow down and run more carefully for a couple of minutes and if it doesn't hurt again, I resume my original pace. If the pain continues, though, that is when I back off.
I think all the things you have done to prepare will conspire to give you a wonderful race experience, Rozzie! The massage was the icing on the cake of preparation, imho!

MM- I forgot to add. Id your sister good enough tha tshe would have placed on her own? I can't imagine she expected you to place when this is your first half. I'm sure she just wants to have the experience with you. You put too much pressure on yourself!

Well here we are packing for the marathon. Weather should be great and there is nothing more that I can do to get ready. The "hay is in the barn" so to speak. Roz is listening to the 80's XM (Modern English). I am reminding myself this is a Rock and ROll Marathon so a little White Zombie and Judas Priest to get the mind set.
It is a not so small thing being on the cusp of something you have prepared for more than a year. Considerig last year at this time I was sweating over my first 10K. it has been a good time leading up to this point. Everyone has been very encouraging. I want to do the peacocks proud. "Just dont suck" I keep telling myself. I have a full race report a soon as possible. Until then a little motivational speach for all the peacocks

Thank you for the pre-race report, Mr. Roz!!! My family all enjoyed the motivational talk too
I am definitely certain that you will both be awesome examples of our Peacock team!!!!!! I can't wait for your race reports (even though I am no example of a prompt race reporter
lol)
