Okay, I was thinking of sending everyone a general PM, but thought it would be easier to just post this question.
Concerning the Porncess. When is your arrival date? I think all of us will be somewhere March 7, night before. I thought it would be fun if we all could get together and have a lowkey dinner somewhere.
I had Olivia's in mind, since a lot of us are staying at/near OKW. If someone else had somewhere else in mind, I am all ears for other opinions. Even maybe Turf Club or something similar. I thought about cooking up (or should I say Mr. Roz cooking up
) a pasta dinner in the villa, but we don't check in until March 7. There is always a possibility that the villa takes forever to be ready KWIM.
So what do ya'll think? If you already have plans, no worries. I just thought it would be a lot of fun to see each other the night before. So who wants to join Gail, Scott and I for dinner? In a few days I'll call and make a ressie. I can't believe we are almost at 5 months and counting!

I'm in for dinner and Olivias is good with me!
Did my 8 miles tonight at a 9:01 pace...for 957 calories burned if you can believe a garmin 201.
I ran pretty fast 'cause it kept me from heaving my lunch, but I had a secondary motivation. The sun was going to be setting and the sunsets have been spectacular lately. If I ran the first 6 at a good clip, I'd be in perfect viewing area for the last 2 mi so that I could really watch the sky. Worked like a charm. Really beautiful. I need to start taking my camera with me so I can share this stuff. I never tire of the sunrises and sunsets around here.

Oh I should also say I'm becoming a huge fan of the fudge for fuel idea. I forgot my water bottle tonight, and had a salty lunch, so I wasn't set up well for a great run. I got a little square of fudge (about 1/6 of a real piece) at about mi. 5.5 and it really made all the difference for the rest of my run.
Here's there website if anyone wants to try this out:

If anyone ends up liking this as fuel, I'll bring fresh stuff for you in March.

I just took a clif shot block with me on Sat. for the first time and I wraped mine in foil, so no you aren't weird. I'm not sure that the fudge would stay firm enough during the race. So, I guess you are just going to have to do a test run then so we will know for sure. If I had my choice between the Clif blocks or fudge, well the fudge would win hands down.
