I haven't gotten out yet for my run.
I went with my son, dil, grandkids and son's in-laws to cut down their Xmas trees. We had lunch and then I came home and am getting ready to go out for my run soon. The cough is much better but still lingering. I'm not going to let it stop me from getting out though. I'll let you know how it went when I get back
Glad you and Scott had a good time at your 5K today.![]()

Ok, went out and did my 2 miles that the schedule said to do. I am happy to say that even though I hadn't been out for 3 weeks before starting again this Monday because of this coughing crap I did my 2 miles at a 15:32 pace. Not setting the world on fire but under the circumstances pretty good for me. So I know that if I can do it under the pace time feeling like crap I have plenty of time to better that by race time. Right?
Oh, and it's cold out here

I did not mean to go so MIA, everyone. I left last Fri, early am to head to Atlanta with the girls for our 29th annual Mother-Daughter (Sister, Daughter-in-Law
) We got back Sat. eve and then churched ourselves Sun. morning and went to my great niece, Emma's 1st birthday party
Boy, was she ever a little princess
Then cyber Monday happened to me too, Rozzie, lol!!! The week was busy at work too. That is good news for me being a mortgage loan officer. I am 100 percent commission and I made "not one dime" in November so I get no December checks...nada!!!!!!
Anyway, I am very grateful for closings in December that I get paid for in January.
So, I am sorry to hear about the runner's knee for nono, the blister type thingies for nono and Gail, the brace for Gail, and the achilles thingy for Rozzie! Glad it did not act up during your race though
Well...I did do the 18 mile long run today. I did it with a chest cold, sinus thingy too so I am proud to have gotten it done. Of course, I am slow as molasses but unlike my 14 and 16 milers, I continued my walk-run until the very end of the LR
I also bought a pair of Asics Gel Kayanos and used them today but I am going to return them. They are one half size too big and they caused me that "top of the foot vein discomfort" again.
It is so frustrating to find the right shoes. I wear 9 - 9 1/2 in street shoes but need a 10 1/2 for running. Well, I guess I am the only girl to need this size boats because they carry 10's and 11's not 10 1/2
On a final good note though...no cramps today, yay!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and Rozzie, I answered yes to the dinner at Olivia's way back when for me and my mom! Please don't leave us off the list. We will be at BCV but will have a rental car for 1-2 days
I would definitely order a peacock shirt. By the way, I followed my nieces into a store called Icings on Black Friday and found actual peacock feathers on a bobby pin. They came two to the pack so I have one extra for one of y'all. I was hoping some of youl could find them too! I thought I could clip it to my cap during the princess run

I can attest it was 20 all day near Gail. (It was that here too when I left at 6 a.m.) Spent a good amount of time out in it moving stuff out of my parents' condo.
Drove home, it was 39 F...It felt like a heat wave. I was going to do 2 tonight and 9 tomorrow, but Mr Nono hadn't thought one whit about dinner, so out we went. Soooo, 11 for me tomorrow morning. I gotta get up around 5:45 a.m. to get this one in the books before heading to church.
Still got the crud some, but NBD. It's only attempted to go to my chest a couple times, and if I run right away, it chases it back up above my neck.
Congrats to you Rozzie, on your journey. And big
for Scott. Very cool.
Oh, this morning at 5 a.m. when the alarm went off, I realized how darn sore my knee was -- on the inside where I'm weak. Guess the exercises are working to strengthen my (whatever). It's been fine all day and no knee cap pain. I think I'm a believer for now.
Oh, the tape -- just um, sports tape or medical tape. The white stuff that's kinda fabric-like, and leaves a whole lot of adhesive on you after you take it off so that part of whatever pant you are wearing eventually gets stuck to it. That kind.

Keep doing those exercises, nono!!Lisa

Lisa, not to worry, I got you and your mom down for dinner. I quoted a old post from waaaay back to try to prove to the world I did mention that Stimpy is coming. Sadly I still lost the bet as I peacocked in chat that I mentioned it "several times"--really only once did I mention it.
Wow, 18 miles? I can't imagine. My longest to date is 8.
I can't wait to finally meet you, my fellow Alabamian. (BTW, did you have your gator chomp on or what tonight?) Good news on work picking up. I often wondered how hard it must be for people in the housing market and auto business. Hope things continue to look up for you.
Gail, wowser, you get a extra gold sticker for the cold. I thought I was nippy in high 30s this am.
Nono, have a good run in the morning, hoping you don't ear a chirp from your knee. I forgot to add I thought about D this morning in my race. There was a awesome 9 year old that finished in 23 minutes. I thought to myself that is going to be little nono very soon.

Thanks, nono and Rozzie!!
Good luck tomoorow for your run, nono. I'll be thinking about you as I limp around
I actually felt bad for some of my family members that are Bama fans but after the Iron bowl maybe I should have had the Gator chomps on
Oh, and I did remember that Stimpy would be there at the same time also. What a group we will make
