I did my new yoga dvd tonight. It's cool as it's full of express target areas, or full body workouts. 10 different sessions. I did a 10 minute ab segment and then a 18 min express full body pilates. I thought of Nono, as the pilates one was a lot of swimming moves. Pretty cool stuff and it was not like it was so exhaustive, but at the same time a great mini workout.

MM - in looking through your photos, your leg form looks like it has improved quite a bit. Maybe it was the shorts? J/K And in a short race, I find that impressive!

Remind me when I see you that I'm spotting something else that I've been working on correcting in myself (for the last 3 yrs or so, and I think I'm onto the solution...don't want to say until I make it all the way through the training cycle, so for now ).

Absolutely terrible night's sleep -- couldn't go to sleep, couldn't stay asleep....going to shower and go out to breakfast, then do a mid-day long run on a different island for a change of scenery. This is my final 4 weeks of build...and once today is done that ends week 1...

What she said. I've never taken any race photos, but I'm pretty sure I'd look like death warmed over.

    Ya'll have a great weekend.

I agree with John, CN! You both look great. MM does get in more happy smiles but she was running a 5K in these pics and you were running a Half Marathon

I am still in limbo, waiting and working at the dying bank. Have three mortgage loans working right now with a couple more on the way, thank goodness. Applied at another bank last week and the current bank is bribing us with cash every month to try to keep us on board I am wondering if they are getting ready to sell themselves and would like to have the mortgage retail dept. intact??

John and Lisa--you guys really are too nice!

Lisa, I hope you find something else soon so you can get off of the sinking ship! It sounds like management knows what's happening.

So now I'm back to thinking about what I want to do on Marathon weekend next year. I'm reading elsewhere that there's going to be a special inaugural medal for the relay...and that space will be VERY limited. Hmm. Just talked to Noel, and I think he would really like for us to do the half together, so the question is should I try to do goofy (or would that kill me) or should I try to find a relay partner. Or should I just tell Noel too bad, I'm doing the marathon. I just love the idea of crossing the finish line with him!

Perhaps shorts (shaahts) are more important in a short race. Maybe race length should relate to inseam length? [Note to self: Watch more female sprinters... ]

Sorry you had a rough night though... Hope the run goes well.

Lisa- Continued GL on the job front. When my company was sold last year we later found out a certain % of employees had to come through or the sale would be stopped, so you just might be onto something with the cash. I wish we would have been retained that aggressively though!

CN- I'd probably try and do the half together & then do the marathon relay. Goofy sounds neat but I want at least a few fulls under my belt before I'd attempt it. I love things like the Roz's crossing together and what not, and I wouldn't skip that opportunity if it presented itself. I keep trying to encourage E and I've told her many times I'll stick with her if she wants for the DL half if she does indeed do it in 2012. As long as I don't get swept and I get my Coast to Coast medal it'll all be good. But I can understand if you have your heart set on doing the Mickey in 2012 and the relay just won't cut it for ya...

Last night I bought some Champion mesh shorts w/ an 8" or so inseam from Kohl's and ordered some new Under Armor compression shorts to go with them. So I'm heading back to something more tried and true for my training runs!
