Well this is the Peacock thread, ain't it?

We only get one ride--might as well go for the gold.

ETA: Gail, I think nono just called you out. Where you going to be in 7 years? (Answer: NYC Marathon)

You just never know. In 7 years I'll be retired and planning on being in Fla. so I guess I'll have plenty of time to train.

Seven years from now I'll be 50+, but I'll still need to improve my half marathon time by 4:06 if I expect a guaranteed entry. I also won't let that be my first marathon, as I want to be able to enjoy it. So, I just have to get faster. Period.

OK, Rozzie, this is unfair. I'm already trying to figure out which ferry I want to be on to head over to Staten Island for the bus transfer....

Do you think they'll let us out of the insane asylum long enough to run the race?

For weekend passes I am sure they would expect good behavior from us. I don't know about you, but if I'm in the looney bin I am going to milk it for all it's worth. I'll be the biggest wacko they've ever encountered.

Well, I'll be, another race. Maybe if I was already going to be down I would think about it just for the medal. But to pay $45 to run for 30 minutes or so seems kinda weird. Heck, I paid $85 for a hour and a half and that came with a after hours post race party. Thanks Robert for the heads up though!
