You know, I didn't even see that -- I keep thinking the race is Sat. the 7th - I looked a the whole week -- stopped at 7 never saw 8th! If I did, I might still not have put it togetheras someone who was almost out the door running when we fell back at 5:08 a.m. On vacation....
Now I have to go back and look at how I laid out that week in my training plan. I bet I have the race on the 7th.

nono.....sunrise is actually at 7:43 on race day....not that it should make any difference with the race route.
It's all new to me so I'll go where ever, but it would be nice to do the original one that they were going to do.

Well, I went to the website and expressed my views about running the identical course as Jan 10. I also commented that they are still selling this race as a "new course" and that I wanted them to hold to that and do a new course!

I agree that if they started the race as originally scheduled(like all there other long races), it would be dark at 6:00 am start. That's why moved to 6:30.
I agree that changing the course should warrant refund but I would bet they won't. I think you would have to read disclaimer signed.

Speaking of changing minds, rumor is the P&PP's are canceled also. Gailaroo guess we gotta make other plans to celebrate that night?

This is all kinda weird.

So, I was talking to Mr Nono last night and he said not to change the dates, even though it isn't the best time for him work-wise to travel. (don't these Race Directors realize how much some of us have to negotiate out the $$ for their races and how much stress it causes??
). His advice was to see how it all shakes out, but regardless, we can all go and have a good time. So, Gail and Rozzie, you'll have to add us to the party that night regardless of what happens. It just might be at the Suitcase at OKW....

Yay!!! I'm so glad the nonos will still be there!!! I didn't remember how bad it was fro your ITBS, nono.
I have to be extra carefl on teh full course too where the slope is wrong for me. I can switch lanes, though, most of the time.
OMG, canceling teh P&PP??? You have got to be kidding. You know, from day 1, it did not seem liek they had thought this all teh way through. perhaps someone should send tehm a copy of Meet the RObinsons.

Well, I was thinking...if they do the exact same course as Jan., I'll just have to go cheer folks on as I can't risk the reinjury (and Mr Nono's only ITB problem came at the end of that 1/2, so even if I wanted to do so, he wouldn't let me).
But, I'm thinking Disney, and the people they hire, are a bit more imaginative than just doing the lazy thing and using the exact same course. So, I'm hopeful I will be able to participate.
I also thought about pacing Gail, but my G*D she almost killed me with 4 mi last month!
