A new Disney Vacation Club application is available for iPhone and iPod Touch owners. The app is called "D Point" and it can assist owners with calculating the number of points needed for their DVC reservations.

UPDATE: The D Point app was recently enhanced to include 2011 point values, saving of reservations and more!

Eventually a developer will offer a DVC app for free. I'm in no rush to have a DVC app so I'm fine with playing wait & see for a free one.

For 99 cents it was well worth it. My only beef with it is that you can't see the day of the week for the dates you are selecting. You choose month, day, and year. Number of nights is a separate menu. I am sure that is something that will eventually be tweaked, but for a dollar what more can you ask for??! It's a quick point calculator!

Paul - I am glad you like the app. I am always happy to get feedback - positive or negative. I was careful to integrate the day of the week on every screen possible. If I understand what you are saying I have a suggestion: Try picking the date before the number of nights. If you don't specify the date first then you are right - there is no way to show you the dates when picking the number of nights. (can't foretell the future)

Hey Joe! I meant that if I choose July 7th, I have to exit the app and open the calendar to see what day of the week July 7th is. I guess it would be hard to integrate a calendar that shows the days of the week into the app. Unless I have missed it, but it's a great app! You should be proud! It was the first disney app I have downloaded!

Thanks. Makes me feel sane spending all my free time for four months was appreciated. I just made it because I was not too impressed with the one on member web site and was tired of figuring by hand.

Actually the day of the week is displayed between the date picker and the "push to select" Button. It appears once you turn the picker wheel.

By the way: a minor update should be available by Wednesday.

Hey Joe, I've had a few apps given to me free via promo codes by develops as long as I rated it 5 stars in the review section. Any way you wanna share the wealth with some of us in exchange to rate the app 5 stars???

Yes, and let's not forget the HTC Hero on Sprint. Loving Android but very jealous that WDW is making an Android app specifically for the Droid only.
