Just got done reading a blog over @ Orlando Sentinel that Disney will be releasing a feature on Verizon Wireless phones telling you the wait times for rides @ WDW & Disneyland. The blog covers the Iphones apps that offer the feature and now branching out to other networks. I personally have an iphone and hope Disney releases their own app that will not have user submitted times but with times directly from them for the best accuracy. Only time will tell!

That is the first app that made me really drool about possibly upgrading to a smart phone! I would love to have all that park data in the palm of my hand! <add evil laugh here...>

In the comments section the author said: "Thanks, David. There will be a mobile site launched that will be platform independent."

In other words, there will be a mobile website which should be viewable via iPhones and other mobile browsers. May not have quite as many bells and whistles as this app, though.

I've been using one of the iPhone wait times apps and am a little disappointed in it. Seems like every time I've submitted a wait time, my submission didn't update what was being broadcast to app users. Maybe they are just collecting data for a master database to track trends, but the app isn't much good in situations where guest levels fly against those trends. If I can see that the Test Track wait time is 10 minutes, there's no value in the app if it continues to show a 30 minute wait.
