You can have things shipped to you at the resort. I think Disney has recently started charging a fee to hold these packages for your arrival.

Having packages delivered to DVC –
10-22-2009,02:16 AM
Sometimes I want to order stuff from the US, but international shipping would be extremly expensive.
So I was wondering if I have a stay booked at a DVC resort, could I have something shipped there in my name?
Is there a policy about receiving mail and packages in a DVC resort? Or does anyone have experience with this (aside from stuff like owner's locker)?

Sophia: “The race was underway. I start off slow. I’m cagey, like a panther, but when the time is right I pounce! The crowd is on its feet: ‘Sophia! Sophia!’ I could see the finish line; it was only 200-300 yds away. And then, it happened—what every runner dreads. I hit the wall.”
Dorothy: “Ah, ma, you ran out of steam?”
Sophia: “No, I actually hit a wall. They put up a new Wendy’s on Collins Ave.”

I had this done last year. I had my pkg sent to SSR and they just held it a the desk. Be sure to have your arrival date listed on the pkg. Good luck.

We do this all the time.
Just send it to the resort address and put your name and reservation number on the package. I usually put that on at least three sides of the package.
We'll be sending our Christmas tree down along with another package for our December trip. It ends up being less expensive than the extra baggage fees the airlines charge you.ºOº Melody ºOº

There are charges for receiving packages but only at specific resorts. Disney allowed a company called IKON to manage the business centers at resort hotels which are also convention destinations. IKON handles all package delivery at those locations and the contract with Disney gives them the right to charge for deliveries.
Impacted DVC resorts include the BoardWalk, Beach Club and Bay Lake Tower. I believe the Yacht Club, Coronado Springs and the Grand Floridian also have convention facilities and guests would be subject to the fees.
The fee is based upon the weight of the package. As long as it's a reasonable weight, figure on about $10 for the delivery fee.

Wow! I never knew that, Tim! Thanks for the info. We've only ever delivered to VWL and SSR.

I'm surprised Disney hasn't just gone to charging for all locations, if for no other reason than consistency. They would be pocketing the money at non-convention hotels.
This change occurred around the first of the year. I believe there was a note on DVCMember.com. I know I mentioned it here a couple of times. There should be a story or two (or three)...probably under the Policies and Procedures News heading.
For those who ship, here's one other bit of advice: You're probably better off using a courier service like FedEx or UPS rather than the US Mail. All US mail deliveries go to a centralized distribution center at Walt Disney World and from there are sent to their final destination. That opens the door for packages to be mis-routed or otherwise lost in transit. And good luck having it tracked-down.
Deliveries from UPS, FedEx and similar companies go right to the resort front door. Then packages go right into a back room until your arrival.
(Thank John Van Meter from Owner's Locker for that insight.)
Whatever you decide, make sure the destination resort, guest's name and arrival date are clearly indicated.

We are shipping 2 big boxes of stuff for our wedding to BLT. I didn't quite know if I should address it to the Contemporary seeing as that's where check in is or if I should address to Bay Lake Tower. DF called member services and she went right into the protocol as if it's a daily question! Soooo, if anybody needs to ship to BLT put your name, c/o Bay Lake Tower with your reservation # and arrival date!
