$25 gift card for sharing the DVC

I got a flyer in the mail today from the DVC. Members get a $25 Disney gift card for referring a guest for an "Open House Tour." Apparently the "tour" is over the phone. The guest receives a $25 gift card as well. According to the flyer, there may also be a "limited-time incentive" offered to the guest if he or she purchases DVC.

I got the same but in the form of an email. I copy & pasted what it had to say:

The fine print was too much to put here, the only thing worth mentioning was that I had to be with my guest at the time of their tour @ our local Doorway to Dreams to be eligible.

The one thing that I thought was nice that they didn't stipulate in the main email was that you can receive up to 4 gift cards, so you can refer up to 4 different households and receive all the prizes every time you do it.

Is it different depending on where you live? Yours says they have to go to Doorway to Dreams & mine says a phone tour.

John, I would have to say they are one in the same, except for the fact that I would have to work a little harder for it because I would need to attend with my guest to the DTD store. I'm just assuming that those of us that live with xx miles from a DTD store will have to set up a physical tour and those that are no where near one will have the phone option, which is obviously easier for you since you can just give someone a phone number and then wait for your gift card & other prizes in the mail. What's interesting is that my email made no such mention of giving me the option to have my guest just do a phone tour...
