DTD is quiet in the mornings, especially weekdays. Except during the Christmas shopping season.
Most of the cars you'll see there are off property guests jumping on buses or walking to TL.

How's DTD on Saturday morning? –

I would expect that during the afternoon and evening, DTD gets very busy. But how busy is it if I go shortly after 9:30 am, with plans to be out of there by around noon? Is first thing on a Saturday morning pretty busy or are the locals still sleeping?

We stayed Aug. 8 -15th and both Saturdays we went the afternoon was extremely busy. I noticed that if you arrive early, like when they open, its not bad.

Going in the am hours is definately better. We get busier as the day progresses. WOD is probably always busy...

Sounds like my best bet is to plan to be there right when the stores open. I guess my biggest concern with the crowds is getting my Sundae at Ghiardelli's for lunch. Hopefully if I plan on having lunch there around 11:30 am, it won't be too crowded. There can't be too many of us planning to eat a sundae there at 11:30 am (a sundae for lunch-but of course!)
