Do on-line ADR's make it too easy to double-book?

A few weeks ago, I made an ADR at Jiko. I wanted a time close to 6:30, but the closest I could get was at 5:40. Last night, I double-checked, and now 6:15 had opened up, so I took that time. However, there was no prompt that I had already booked another time close to it. So currently I have 2 ADRs at the same restuurant, since I'd have to take the time to find my first confirmation #, then cancel. Too lazy and tired last night. If I was on the phone with a CM, I could just say "OK, then cancel the 5:40 one", she'd find it and it would be cancelled. Since I don't like people double-booking, at some point soon, I'll call and cancel that earlier ADR, but what I saw, or rather didn't see, last night makes me worry that it may be too easy for people to double-book ADRs with this on-line system. Anyone else notice that?

When we were doing some reservations for upcoming trips we noticed the same thing. It was a few extra steps to have to get that previous confirmation number and enter it in with the phone number used when making the reservation and then cancel the reservation. It would be nice if they would link everything together when logged in and making reservations. That way someone could log in and look at all their reservations for a particular trip and cancel or add to them as need be. Hopefully they will continue to enhance and expand the system as more and more people use it and comment on it.

I agree! It doesn't seem like it should be that hard to get them associated with your profile. Have people log-in using the regular Disney web authentication (and sure that DVCMember.com IDs are valid!) and then have all your resort reservations automatically available and keep your ADRs grouped as well. No WDW resort ressies? No problem, you just only have 90 days (or soon 180 again!) with no +10. They want you to log in for just about everything and saving favorites, et.c, etc. so why not just group these in as well?
