OK, here\'s the deal. My family and I are leaving for the World on March 26th. We are: myself 37, My wife (??) My Son 17, Daughter 5 and Daughter 22 months.
This will be our first trip longer than a week. We will be there from the 26th of March to the 6th of April. Here are our plans so far. Arrive the 26th Std view Studio at AKL for the nights of the 26th and 27th. Kids have always wanted to try BCV so we will be there the 28th and 29th. On Sunday the 30th we will check into SSR into two 2 bedrooms. We have family flying in on that day. We have planned the 30th thru the 6th (with the extended family). What I need ideas on is the 26th thru the 30st (Immediate family). Keep in mind that these days are during Easter Weekhmy: We would like to avoid the parks for these first 4 days. We are open to enjoying activities at the resorts, and of course plan on spending some time at SAB once we move over to the BCV. Since we have never stayed at either of these resorts I wanted to get feedback from those that have........

One thing I\'d suggest is trying to get reservations at Cape May Cafe for breakfast if you can. You know how I feel about getting those meet-and-greets done during meals. Cape May has Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale in beach attire.

People speak pretty highly of Beaches \'n Cream, too. Never made it there myself.

Another thumbs up for Beaches and Cream. YUM!!

Have a great trip, longer trips are great, you don\'t feel rushed and you can slow down some. Enjoy!

The mini golf at Fantasia Gardens (you can walk there from BCV) is a lot of fun. There are discounts as follows:

DVC: 15% off; Member and up to 4 guests.
AP: 50% discount for the Passholder and up to three guests.

Thanks for the great sugesstions, We had Cape May Scheduled for Dinner, I did not think of it for breakfast, I will look into that, especially since our grocery order will not arrive until we move over to SSR. I was thinking of trying beaches and cream as well. We will give it a try. I think we will go over and explore the Boardwalk in the evening to see any performers that might be over there. I had also heard that over at the AKL there is a storyteller at the fire pit at sundown, has anyone experienced this?

Check into the movie at Fort Wilderness. I have never done it, but it is a possibility.

How about heading over to the Poly one night and watching wishes from the beach?

The boardwalk at night is a great idea. My kids love it. Your oldest might want to go and sit and have a snack in the ESPN club while the younger ones wander the Boardwalk with you (not sure if you are comfortable with that - but it might be a good alternative for a mixed age group family).

Beaches and Cream is good but tiny. Try to go off dining times to avoid a long wait.

Venture off property over to I-drive and there is definately something for everyone. We did Arabian Nights when we were there in January. It was a great evening of entertainment for all. When you factor in dinner (and we used Mapleleaf to get heavily discounted tickets which I picked up the day of the show), it really wasn\'t that expensive!

Go over to City Walk at Universal for an evening. Same with Downtown Disney. Those are both good for some wandering time and are different enough to make it enjoyable. I am not sure how crowded they will be during Easter week, but it wont be like the parks for sure.

    Hope you have fun!

The Beach Club shows movies on the beach certain days of the week. One night walking home from Epcot on our recent stay we could see the big screen set up. I think they were showing one of the POTC films.

Ask about the schedule at check-in.

Another idea if you\'re in the BW area--Community Hall. It\'s over by the quiet pool, off the path that goes to MGM, I\'m pretty sure they are open until 10PM. There are video gmaes to play, plus ping pong and foosball, all for free. There\'s also arts and crafts for the little ones. Some of the projects have a small fee. Check the schedule posted in front of community hall for other stuff, like balloon toss.

Also at BW--Surrey Bike rentals. The whole family will fit. I know you mentioned the bw in the evening for entertainment. As an FYI in the day there are face painters, hair wrappers, pin cart, photo booths and more out on the BW. (I imagine you already know about the various stores, bakery and candy shoppe).

I can see wanting to avoid the crowds, but the mornings would probably be fine. getting there at rope drop and leaving by noon could give you great park time. We went this same week about 4 years ago and yes it was crowded, but we managed. We did water parks as well and that particular week it was chilly, but coming from PA, anything was warm. There was no one at the water parks and despite the temps (low 70\'s I think) we had a great time.

Regardless, how about a fishing excursion? I\'ll second mini golf and a big vote for Beaches and Cream for late lunch, early dinner. It is very crowded at the peak dining hours. The four of us go and split two entrees and then splurge on the ice creams. No, we never did the Kitchen Sink, but the others are just awesome. The movies are fun as well though the night we tried it was a bit breezy and sand was blowing and the kids got cranky.

How about a trail ride in Fort Wilderness? And the campfire sing along?

    Enjoy!
