I have no idea if MJ was guilty or not of the molestation charges. But I know for sure that he made a freak out of himself with all that plastic surgery. He was SUCH a cute kid, he absolutely had to have had some terrible self esteem to have had all that work done.
Ironically he sings a duet on an old kids album. The album is called Free to Be You and Me, and the song he does is called "We We Grow Up". So you understand why i say it's ironic, here are the lyrics (he did the song when he was young, prior to the stuff he had altered on himself): The main point of the song is that as you grow up you "Don't Have to Change at All"
When we grow up, will I be pretty?
Will you be big and strong?
Will I wear dresses
that show off my knees?
Will you wear trousers
twice as long?
Well, I don't care if I'm pretty at all.
And I don't care if you never get tall.
I like what I look like, and you're nice small.
We don't have to change at all.
Hey!
When we grow up, will I be a lady?
Will you be an engineer?
Will I have to wear things like perfume and gloves?
I can still pull the whistle while you steer.
Well, I don't care if I'm pretty at all.
And I don't care if you never get tall.
I like what I look like, and you're nice small.
We don't have to change at all.
When I grow up, I'm gonna be happy and do what I like to do,
Like making noise and making faces and making friends like you.
And when we grow up, do you think we'll see
That I'm still like you and you're still like me?
I might be pretty; you might grow tall.
But we don't have to change at all.
And here is a youtube link if you want to see/hear for yourself:

I guess it isn't all that clear WIM.

Well first of all, the crime he was accused of is in my mind, much more serious in nature than tax evasion or shop lifting. Stealing a buck v. stealing someone's soul....yeah, I don't think they are equal.
That being said, if it were any of what you list, it's equally as sad to watch someone who "has it all" reveal how much he really doesn't have it all together. What Mar said in her post is what I was referring to....
Do I think he was guilty of child molestation? I don't know. 'Cause being famous and rich will bring out all sorts of accusations too.
But I do know that a normal grown man doesn't willingly choose to hang out with kids all the time. Again, just a telltale sign he doesn't come close to having it all. And that's sad.
I'd like to remember him before the downward spiral.

He was a HUGE Disney fan. Despite his other issues, I felt a kinship with him in that.
God bless his soul.
