need advice for new buyers

I have a friend considering buying at BLT. I was trying to remember if you buy more than the minium from Disney, can you have several contracts made up. For instance, if they were going to buy 220 total points, could they divide it in to two 110 point contracts or four 55 point contracts?

They can ask but I believe you need to have at least one contract of 160 or more. So they should be able to go 160 + 60.

But again it's worth asking if DVC will go smaller!

I would ask also but i know that I asked if I wanted to add-on in the future can I add on to 2 different resorts but the amount of points that I buy add up to getting matching points, Cruise or whatever promo they have going on at the moment and my guide said that we would have to atleast buy a minimum of 100 in any one Resort to get the promo!

Lately, DVC has been allowing new members to have at least one contract of only 100 points instead of the typical 160. Maybe times are tough!

We were already existing members - we have a 100 OKW and a 150 SSR - but they did allow us to split the 160 GCV into two 80 point contracts, and we still recieved the incentives for the full 160 points....

At the end of May we bought 240 points at BLT. They split it up into two separate contracts for us. We wanted it this way, so it would be easier to will to the kids.

We bought AKV and I too wanted to split ours equally with two kids for later purposes. We had to get 160 and 110. We will add 50 more later to "even" it out. If poly ever gets a DVC I may add there too. Prolly just wishing on stars...
