DVCNews NCAA Tournament Bracket!!!

I've created an NCAA tournament pool at Yahoo.com and would like to invite everyone to join. You can access the group here:

There is no charge to participate. It's all for fun. However, I will recognize the winner by adding a custom tag to your DVCNews.com forum profile acknowledging your status as NCAA Basketball god for 2009.

You'll have to create an account with Yahoo in order to participate. Just one entry per person, please. And if you could, label your bracket with your forum username.

Even if you don't know a thing about college basketball, don't be afraid to enter. It's all for fun and 90% of this is just dumb luck anyway.

The games begin around noon on Thursday so don't wait to enter!!!!!

I may be a sports fan but these brackets are about 95% luck.

You can read all of the matchups and scouting reports you want, but as soon as the underdog #2 seed you had picked to win the championship gets upset by a #6 seed, you're in deep doo-doo.

Getting bumped from what amounts to a meaningless tourny means they are well rested for the big show.

Duke was X's alma mater and I can remember hanging off the back of a cruise ship with a sea to shore radio trying ot hear the finals one year.
Another: I had to hold the cruise ship from leaving port until the game was over.
Yep...finals usually happened while kid had spring break. X was actually pretty good about this: he let me take us on vacation as long as I found a way for him to see or at least listen to the game (and onyh when Duke was playing.)

SO: one might guess that I'd pick Duke, but then X has been a very bad boy lately.

And since I grew up just outside pittsburgh, one might believe I'd pick Pitt.
But they haven't been in the semis in ...well, maybe never, so this would be a cinderella pick.

Nope, I think I'll screw with X and pick North Carolina.
