I'm guessing a LOT of us fly into MCO airport as often as we can.

Where do you fly from, what is your favorite airline, typically how many stops en route, and what do you consider a good price these days?

For me: CLE (Cleveland Hopkins), Continental, nonstop, and < $300 out the door (w/ tax & fees except for 'extra luggage') per person round trip.

We fly out of either Philly or Atlantic City.

Outv of AC we fly Spirit, Philly it's SW.

We really like SW, but hate the Philly airport.

We really like AC airport ( though not as much now since they started charging for parking) and USED to like Spirit airlines, but anymore they are probably THE WORST for add-on fees. Their latest fees - which probably mean we'll never use them again for an MCO flight - are to charge to select for seats in advance vs pot luck when you print your boarding passes. You are billed $10.00 for window, $15.00 for isle & $5.00 for center - both ways. so if you want to sit with your spouse or family you are going to pay a lot more than the advertised ticket price. They also charge for ALL checked baggage, surcharge for any baggage over 50 lbs ( which really isn't that much stuff), don't give any free beverages or snacks and charge for pillows & blankets ( I haven't officially confirmed this last fee, just third hand info).

We fly out of Newark(non stop)....our favorite is Jetblue! Now of days we pay $208 rt per person. When we first bought DVC we would pay $138 rt per person. No fees for picking your seats and first bag.

    Southwest out of Philly.
Of the 20-30 flights I've taken with SW, I've never had a flight be late. In fact, I think with only a few exceptions, they get us where we're going early.
    They are also the friendliest.

Okay SW, where's my 50 bucks?

BDL (Hartford/Winsor Locks) is my "home" airport. Quick 1/2 drive over. We fly SW and have been pretty lucky with getting Dings. We avarage around 170-210 pp. with out the Dings. My first trip home to VWL we snagged a $49 each way Ding....SWEET!

I agree with Nick. We always fly SWA out of Chicago's Midway Airport. We avoid O'Hare like the plague. We usually average about $79 each way, with no hidden extra fees. And just like Nick said, rarely do we have problems with on time departures or arrivals. We usually get in 10-29 minutes earlier than scheduled.

Jet Blue from JFK to MCO. I have snagged fares as low as $59, but not in a while. Generally I average about $79 each way, without taxes and fees. With tax and fees it's more like $90 each way.

I always keep a watch for the fares lowering so I can get credited. As of yesterday morning I had $140 worth of credit, but I booked my return fare for Sept (already had outbound). The fare was $77, and came out to just under $90 with fees and tax. So now I have about $65 left in credit for my January trip.

I have flown SW and Jet Blue to MCO, and find the customer service to be very good on both. Prices are usually close. I do think Jet Blue has newer and nicer planes with more leg room. (Oh-- I have to edit this to say I love the little tvs each seat gets to view, with a bunch of DTV channels to choose from. Makes the 2 1/2 hour trip zoom on by).

But the main reason I use them most of the time is JFK is much closer to me (ten minutes) than Islip (50 minutes), which is the airport I'd have to take if I used SW. The only reason I have flown SW is my friend has Frequent Flier points for that airline, and occasionally she will treat me to a flight. That's certainly worth driving a little further for.

I've had pretty good luck with both airlines, but neither has been on time each and every flight.

The noise you hear when someone hits a bell.

Or a widget you can download from SW to notify you of airfare specials on your favorite routes.

but mostly the noise you hear when someone hits a bell.
