Hilton Head Island - DVC\'s Hidden Gem?

I have become a Hilton Head fan since our first stay there a year ago January. The town was 1/2 dead but that worked for my family just fine,.

I love just being able to sit out on my balcony and relax because the resort is just so peaceful.

Ok, then maybe on the way from Savannah airport before HHI? I really, really, want to eat there. So I guess I\'ll just have to stop by HHI so I do!

On the way from the airport sounds like a good plan. I know folks go to Sav. for the day from HHI, I\'ve heard stories while sitting in the hot tub. We\'ve yet to do this. It\'s always one of those \"well if the weather really stinks and we can\'t go to tbe beach...\" but never seems to be like that.

I have heard that the wait for her restaurant can be quite long as well. Not a biggie if you have a few hours you can spend.

You will have to tell us if you go. I think the food would be great but would kill my stomach! (lots of butter, fats, grease - you know - the yummy stuff :P )

Boy, I don\'t know how I missed this! I\'m a huge fan of HHI! It\'s so hard just to pick one thing, but I do love going to Big Murgie\'s Den every evening, reading the Island Packet, and just curling up on the couch (maybe having a couple cranberry-nut cookies if there are any left). I also love the key lime pound cake at Signe\'s-heck, I love everything there! See, I told you I couldn\'t pick only one thing. And Sea Pines Forest Preserve, and seeing dolphins in the water right around the resort.
