A note posted to DVCMember.com indicates that DVC Member Services is not accepting reservations for the Bay Lake Tower on Monday, February 9, 2009:
<hr size="2" width="100%" />Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort transactions unavailable Monday, February 9Dueto an unexpected system challenge, Member Services is unable to acceptVacation Points or cash reservations on Monday, February 9, for BayLake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Additionally, previouslybooked reservations cannot be modified and new waitlist requests cannotbe created. Our IT teams are diligently working to resolve thesituation as quickly as possible. Members can call Member Services onTuesday, February 10, for further assistance. We apologize for anyinconvenience this may cause.

I, for one, am excited by this new enhancement to the program because it gives DVC members extra time to finalize their plans before officially booking their stay. If this "cooling-off period" saves even one owner from prematurely using banked or borrowed points -- and forfeiting them as a result -- then it will be well worth it.
I'm dead serious.
