I love the Caymans...great Scuba and love swimming with the sting rays. Any condo on Seven Mile Beach. Food is pretty pricey tho. I also love Jamaica but haven't been in years.
You might also consider a Western Caribbean cruise...often as low as $400pp if not Disney (adult....free or cheaper for kids) which would include food and transportation and lodging and babysitting. (try vacationstogo.com 90 day ticker)
Glad to see you back horsing around Rash!

Funny you mention poison ivy - I lived up to my name a couple weeks ago with a NASTY case of it. One thing I didn't know until I googled it - you can scratch poison ivy all you want and it doesn't make it worse. So in a strange way, it was a gratifying experience. There are few things better than scratching an itch, and when that's all you do for a week, life aint so bad. I just wish I didn't look so grotesque.
Thanks Belle for the info - I honeymooned in Cayman - we also loved it and enjoyed diving with the stingrays. I'm considering a cruise also, so the link you provided will be helpful.
I've also looked at Beaches Resort in the Turks and Caicos, It's a big, all inclusive type resort, similar to Atlantis in the Bahamas, but on a slightly smaller scale. But I'm not really sure I want that "Disney in the Carribean" feeling. Anyone been there?

I can't believe I am saying this, but I am glad summer is over! Finally back to a more regular routine this week. We had so much fun this summer, but it was over the top crazy with the scheduling.
The good thing is that next year, instead of 3 week long camps for the boys, they will both be at the same camp for 1 week. That will help! Love Scouting, but July in GA is too hot to be sleeping in a tent. It takes a special type of brain damage for that one and apparently I have it.
Getting ready for back to school. The dining room table is covered with supplies. I remember being young and loving this week when we got all new stuff - new backpacks, new Trapper Keepers (my kids are like wha? MOOOOMMMM no one has THOSE now), etc. They seem to be having fun. Of course, we won't have 1/2 of what is on the "suggested supplies" list they give us from school so I am sure there will be more shopping next week, but at least the kids hae what they personally need.
So a fun summer - Cub Scout Day Camp, Boy Scout Camp, Junior Olympics, NRA Nationals, Webelos Resident Camp, a week in Panama City, visits with family....whew. I am ready for a bunch of nothing.
Richard and I are heading to Orlando for our trip soon so getting excited planning that He loves AKL, so I know we will have a great time
