Our newest "feathery" family addition!

and our ONLY feathery family addition!

We can now add "Zip" as in "Zipper" or as I like to whistle away as my little blue bird sits next to me.......Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!

The kids all chipped in together at Christmas and now we have a new addition to our brood of "Z" babies! (Zorro our pup, Zuko the fish and now Zip our budgie)

This was taken within the first 1/2 hour home- notice the many "baby bars" on his forehead- hes only about 4-6 weeks old)

Would love to hear from any other budgie/birdie lovers!

He's very cute! My DD has been asking for 1 but with 2 cats in the house, it's like opening up a buffet for them!

I had tame parakeets when I was young, he looks like such a sweet boy! It is nice that you got such a young one, he will be easier to tame. one of my parakeets used to love to eat a grape, or bits of apple for a treat.

I also had a parrot when I was in elementary school, he was abused before we got him and could be downright mean!
He loved my Dad & me but pretty much hated everyone else. After my son was born I felt sorry for him that he had not been out of his cage since the baby was born, so I let him out. He flew straight to the baby and bit him, no more like gouged him, in the face. We found a new home for him after that!

My DD has currently 5 budgies and a cockateal (sp?) they are quite 'vocal' when the sun first enters her room in the morning.
