Yesterday I switched my June/july trip from OKW over to AKV.

I saw a Conceirge Studio, tried for it, but of my 13 nights, only two nites were open, both Fridays. Passed on Conceirge.

Next I went for Kidani section. Poor planning on my part, I'm a week or two past the 7 month window. Kidani nights are a hodgepodge of availible/unavailible, but more night availible than not.

Jamba house, no problem. Got all 13 nights.

Question is this: Can I waitlist the entire 13 nights at Kidani with the risk of losing Jamba ? Without borrowing from my 2009 UY, I don't have enough points to hold Jamba and book the availible nites.

Been there, done that: You have to give MS your verbal consent to borrow the points should your waitlist come for through for Kidani. Then you risk nothing, they hold Jamba for you until if and when you get your waitlist.

7 mos. vs. 11 mos. - from experiences out there, what should a new buyer anticipate on availability should they choose a non-home resort from among the offerings? Examples you may have had at any of the DVC properties is appreciated. Thank you.

If you will not be hapy at your home resort, don't buy there. HAving said that, for marahton weekend, I have sayed at BCV twice adn will eb staying at WLV this year and my home resort is SSR. However, if you travel at peak times, things may not eb so easy.

I always like Tim's take on this: "don't buy where you don't want to stay." If you really never want to stay at XYZ Villas then don't buy there because at some point you may not have a choice.
