My sister took that same flight but a couple weeks ago...I've turned her to the SW side!!!! It 's a fairly long drive to Philly from East Stroudsburg, but the savings were worth it. Do you live IN Philly?

Day 6 of NJNick's Trip Report –

6th and final day. Thursday 10/2
Up early, of course. Beautiful weather! So we headed over to the MK.

We missed rope drop, it was EMHs, but still, everything in Fantasyland was walk on.
As was everything in Tomorrowland. We did Pirates, and then had lunch at Columbia Harbour House.
We headed out around Noon to Epcot. We rode Spaceship Earth, and then went to check out Storm Struck at Innoventions East.
One last ride on Test Track, then over to WS, were we had one last taste of the F & W Festival. Our favorite of the whole event was
the Grilled Beef with Chimichurri Sauce from The Buenos Aires Argentina kiosk.

We then walked over to the Beach Club, where we split a burger at Beaches and Cream. I also had a No Way Jose Sundae.

MMMM good! By now, it was about 4, and we sadly went back to the BW to wait for Magical Express.
Flew out on the 8:30 flight, and Southwest got us back to Philly early.
Can't wait to go back.

We live directly across the Delaware from Northeast Philadelphia. We're about 30 minutes from the airport.
I've never had a problem with Southwest. The only reason I booked Airtran was they had there schedule out way before SW, and it was a good price. But the seating was more cramped and the crew was no way near as friendly, not to mention the problem we had at check in.

Ooh, Beaches and Cream! We were too stuffed from the DDP to make it to B&C for the Kitchen Sink (the original plan). Well, there'll always be the next trip
! Which, is a year away
(to WDW at least).
You got to meet the Mayor! Next time, you'll have to get your hair cut on Main Street.
As to the SW flight attendants, most seem to have fun, but some really seem to have a VERY low tolerance for any sort of, well, anything (they are probably the same ones who kicked people off the plane because of their wardrobes).Sophia: “The race was underway. I start off slow. I’m cagey, like a panther, but when the time is right I pounce! The crowd is on its feet: ‘Sophia! Sophia!’ I could see the finish line; it was only 200-300 yds away. And then, it happened—what every runner dreads. I hit the wall.”
Dorothy: “Ah, ma, you ran out of steam?”
Sophia: “No, I actually hit a wall. They put up a new Wendy’s on Collins Ave.”

We might be there the same time! I'm going to be there with my sister. She will be graduating college in the spring, and then hoping to teach in the fall. So our plans are to go over her fall break in October (and then again over spring break in April or March
). All of the school districts in which she is interesting in teaching are on the same schedule, however, that schedule doesn't come out until late winter. So we won't know the dates until then. It will be either the first or second week of October.
I would love to have a DVCnews meet--like you did!Sophia: “The race was underway. I start off slow. I’m cagey, like a panther, but when the time is right I pounce! The crowd is on its feet: ‘Sophia!
